About GTA 6 Animals
GTA 6 Animals is an independent reference for every animal found in Grand Theft Auto VI, with the proof behind each one. It is not affiliated with Rockstar Games. Until the game is out on November 19, 2026, everything here comes from Rockstar's material, from Game Informer's preview, or from GTABase's list, and each entry says which.
Who runs it
GTA 6 Animals is run by Lorenzo Bruno, who also runs GTA6 Heists and GTA 6 Armory. Lorenzo checks every entry against its source before it goes live and signs the verification date shown on each page. The same research base feeds all three sites.
Where the data comes from
The starting list of species comes from GTABase's GTA 6 animals list, used with permission and last pulled on October 28, 2026. GTABase calls all 47 of its entries confirmed but does not give a source for each, so every entry here is checked against Rockstar's own captions, trailers and screenshots and against Game Informer's preview. Only those make an animal Confirmed.
Nothing is written from memory, and nothing is guessed: no spawn locations, hunting values or legendary animals are known yet, so none appear.
- Confirmed, seen
- The animal is visible in Rockstar's own material: a captioned screenshot, a trailer, the Extended Look, or a screenshot Rockstar gave Game Informer or Edge for its preview.
- Confirmed, named
- Rockstar, Game Informer or Edge names the animal in a preview, without an official image of it yet.
- Unverified
- GTABase lists the animal, but no Rockstar image, trailer or quote backs it yet. It may change or be missing at launch.
- Creator read
- A content creator's interpretation. Always worded as theirs, never as fact.
How the images are prepared
Game images are Rockstar's, as published on its site, in its trailers or through Game Informer. Frames smaller than 1,600 pixels are enlarged four times with Real-ESRGAN, an open-source super-resolution model. The framing, colors and content are never changed: nothing is added, removed or repainted, and no image is generated.
Real-life animal photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences only, with the author and licence under each photo. Images from earlier Rockstar games are not used.
